Jacob Nikolas

I did a birthday post for our little Cheese Puff but I want to do more of a 2 year stats and update post too.

I took Jacob in for his 2 year check up with Dr. Reicherts whom we absolutely LOVE! He is a phenomenol Pediatrician. Jacob honestly is hitting his terrible twos with some real passion. He has always been so quiet and screamed when he's happy but the morning of his birthday was the start to some real tantrums. Here are some of the best pictures I could get at his check up.

Jacob's new stats are:

Weight: 25.5 pounds of absolute cuteness! 9th percentile
Length: 31.5 inches 20th percentile
Head circumference: I don't remember the number but the percentile is 60th.

Words that Jacob can say:
Bob - for Mom
Ma - for Mom
Dada
Socks
Juice
Bottle
No
Jackson
Horsie
Dog
Ball
What's that
There he is
Hi
Bye
Love you
Choo choo

After going over his list of words Dr. Reicherts and I decided Jacob should start speech therapy and we are very excited about it. We start in a few weeks. I think it will help a lot. Right now Jacob gets very frustrated when he can't say what he needs or wants and he hits or screams. It makes me so sad because I just want to help him. I'm sure speech therapy will help us a lot.

Jacob's favorite foods are:
Tortilla chips
Nilla wafers
Popcorn
Popcorn Chicken or Chicken Nuggets
Taquitos
Organic Fruit Lollipops
Fruit Snacks and Fruit Leather
M&M's
Berry Kix Cereal
NutraGrain Bars
Cheetos
Italian Chicken
Sweet Potatoe Puffs
French Fries
Grilled Cheese and Ham
French Toast with peanut butter and syrup
Bacon
Tilapia
Almonds and pistachios

Jacob loves:
The Hulk
Animal Noises
Being chased by Grandma
Screaming
Making funny faces
His older brother
Horsies
Cars movies
To read books
To throw tantrums and scream until it pierces my brain
Playing in his pretend kitchen
Puzzles
Playgrounds
Other kids
To be tickled
Playing "Where is Jacob?"
Hiding in little spaces
Riding the mechanical horse at Meijer
One on one time
Super heroes
Clicking his tongue
Bathtime
Magnets
Choo choo Trains
Iron Man
Matchbox Cars
Putting on bigger shoes
Nursery at church
Looking at pictures of family members

Jacob gets lots of attention when we are out because he is such a happy happy boy. He is always smiling and has the funniest laugh ever. He gets lots of attention for his red (really it's orange) hair. When the three of us (me, Jackson, and Jacob) go out together we get way too much attention and feel like celebrities because if the red hair. But when people stop us we get tons of comments on how happy Jacob is and how sweet his smile is. He is very accident prone and sometimes he hits his head and before he even has a chance to cry he smiles! He is a funny boy who loves to make people laugh and honestly he has no fear. He climbs anything and will try anything once. John hates it but right now he is definitely a mama's boy. He needs me all day and night. When we are even just out grocery shopping or eating dinner he will pull my arm to his face and cuddle. He spontaneously gives me kisses and loves throughout the day and I love it! He wants to play 24/7 and is seriously just too cute and fun! He is definitely going through terrible twos with tantrums but mostly he is happy and fun and he really makes our lives wonderful. We love our happy, fun, energetic, sweet little cheese puff so much. He probably gets a thousand kisses a day and it's still not enough for me. We can't get enough of him. I love seeing him and Jackson becoming such good friends. Jacob LOVES his older brother so much. He loves to help him, play with him, sleep next to him, and just be around him. We are so blessed with this beautiful boy and couldn't ask for more. Happy two years baby Jacob!!
